...with lashes to match! Seriously, people, are those lashes real? (they are!)

Did you vote today? I did. I waited an hour and it was worth it. People chatted and minded themselves in line really nicely. I like things that make you feel like a part of a community, like we are all in this together for the collective good, even if we differ on the candidates we feel would get us there.

New yorkers show their rallying spirit, in the most brilliant way. We all root for each other. Check out how these marathoners helped out their communities on the day of the would-be race. And this is an exceptional slideshow of Sandy photos, so New York.

And here's my favorite tiny New Yorker for today, even from her small stature showing the same enthusiasm for her fellow man as the rest of the taller variety!

style is not always so 2-D

Style isn't always just clothes that make you go, "Ooooh." Style for me sometimes is synonymous with love, connection, doing something (anything!) with care, and a kind awareness of someone else. It could also be called grace. It could also be called synergy. Style between friends could be mutual respect. Style amongst family could be joyful proximity. This family oozes style, and at the fat-kneed age of one, Kingston already has this particular feather in his cap.

five

Over the summer, a special little lady had a birthday! WIth the prep for the new blog launch, I never got to blog it. Here are some favorites from my best girl's big 5th birthday this summer. I love you, Nico!

oh hello squirrel

A squirrel above us wanted to make friends. We know this because he kept dropping acorns on our heads! "Hello, Mr. Squirrel!"

Payton found this hilarious, but we went in search of safer pastures... best to avoid a mid-photoshoot THUNK!

a little glow

A little sweetness on the blog today, a little glow in the spirit of things to come. A little wish from me to you to skip forward, skip, hop and run toward your future, whatever that means for you. <3

Mark and Jeanne: Hitched

It's official. After what might have seemed like !%&@* years of fun, M&J tied the knot, '40s courthouse style. Decked out in Tiffany blue, the bride was literally beaming. I cried real tears when they said their vows. I'm not the only one! Now, scroll down, dear readers. I'll be able to hear your "aww!!" from the LES!

To Mark and Jeanne: CONGRATULATIONS you animals! (P.S. How was Vegas?!)
